This is one of the most popular holidays of the city. During the morning the Virgen de las Candelas comes in procession from the chapel of the same name, located in the middle of it the Monumental City. The streets are decorated to welcome the Virgin during his tour. The festival of San Blas is done in his hermitage, on the day of Las Candelas, in the eve of the saint. The area around the shrine is filled with young people's dress of Campuza and the beautiful handkerchief of watermelon" or "thousand colors”. During the afternoon of San Blas you can heard typical music from Extremadura.
